Magic
There is something I love about this time of year. Especially at night. It has to do with my house, and my yard, and the quietness there. I love going outside at night and just looking up in the sky, year round I love to do this. But when the weather starts to change, and the air is just a bit crisp, and the leaves crackle just a bit under-foot. Its magic. Peaceful. Even while trying to wrestle with 2 dogs to make sure they don't poop on your neighbor's yard.
Tonight there is a crescent moon. Somewhere. But the trees hide it, and the sky is just dark, with the stars, super-bright, just shining. And ok, so I hear the cars in the distance, and the sound of the Metro going by every so often, but who cares. In between all of that its calm and quiet. And you can collect your thoughts and feel the cool air on your face and all is good with the world.
Then you have to gather up your pups and herd them inside.
Want to see something beautiful? No, not pictures of my yard. I was finally able to make my socks-for-spinning journal trade with The Madwoman in the Attic. Check this out!
She hand-bound it and everything. The leather is so soft. I'm in awe of this gal's talent.
Now I just need to get back to spinning some more. Hopefully this'll help me keep organized. We know how good I am at that. Just look how long I went in between the last few blog posts.
