So, pretty much everything I've blogged before is gone.  Nothing like a fresh start, huh?  As a result, bear with me, I'm trying to recover all of my links, buttons and other stuff.  It'll happen slowly.

In the meantime, there has been home improvement.  Yes, HOME IMPROVEMENT.  I finally got curtains up in my living room.



And yes, those are daisy curtains hanging over the gauze ones.  They make me smile. 

There has been frantic knitting too.  Mainly on my father's Chanukah socks that he requested.   I'm doing them 2 at once on 2 circulars.  But I'm doing them cuff down, which I personally find painful and slow.  And I'm ready to be done with them already.



Sorry for the ca-ca picture.  I finished turning the heel last night and am now on the gusset decreases.  Thank god I don't have to alternate colors anymore.  The heels and toes on these suckers are striped.  Oy.

I also did a bit of shopping recently.  Of course.  And this time I splurged on one of Grammy's Afghans.  Everyone needs one of these, by the way.  Conan's in love with ours.    He's kind of claimed it for himself.  They're good for snugglin', I may have to go back for more.

Finally, you know how this year has been one of much growth for Conan?  Well, we had another first this morning.  He's been getting better and better about lifting his leg when he pees.  And he's been claiming trees, hosta, ivy, a garden statue of St. Francis.....Well, today he claimed Sydney.  Yes, I caught him peeing on Sydney. 

  Sydney wants you to know he's ok.  He can take it.
