All we want for Christmas.....
As you may remember, Sydney is a rescue dog. The Cavalier Rescue was broken off from the main US Cavalier Club and set up as a non-profit (a 501(c)3). Now they have to fund themselves, though all donations are now tax-deductible. Obviously, I belong to the rescue and support them. Here is a snippet from an e-mail sent out earlier this week from the rescue club president.
"We anticipate that we’ll save over 200 Cavaliers this upcoming year, many of whom will have significant medical expenses. Our average cost of medical care per rescued dog is currently running at $458, and our average adoption donation is $350, leaving us with the need to raise fund to cover the expected shortfall of over $20,000."
Without this organization we wouldn't have our loving, sweet Sydney. Conan wouldn't have a brother. For Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanzaa (or that 'Winter Holiday' that Chris likes to talk about) the dudes ask that in lieu of gifts to them, would you please send some money to Cavalier Rescue ? There is a link on the site to donate using Paypal, and it would make everybodies hearts here in Dogtopia a bit happier.
I mean, I know WE got the best rescue dog ever, but some other family deserves to have their homes made happier too. And some of these puppies are in real need of help.

I love the daisy curtains. Very cute. I only wish cute lasted around here, I think the girls and dog think anything cuter than them might draw attention away and therefore must be destroyed
