Waterloo. Couldn't escape you if I wanted to.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa...
Un-anounced news, I bought a new camera last month. A fancy-schmancy one. And I'm still learnin' it, so bear with me. So far I've figured out how to take basic pictures AND download them to my computer. I'm smart. Now I've got to figure out the rest. Maybe next month.
But, I took some Waterloo pictures. Waterloo, that agonizing Mystery Shawl that I will NEVER attempt to knit again. In homage to Eunny, I took soaking pics.
Thats the good one.
Then I set up my blocking board, found all the pins I could and set out to block the be-jesus out of it. And I discovered that it was actually too big for the blocking board. So back went the pins, and out came the blocking wires. With a little funky-jew muscle ingenuity and a bit of cursing, I got the sucker rigged up.
I finally took it off the board today, after making sure it knew who was the boss around here.
As you can see, I decoriously draped it over the back of the sofa, since I couldn't figure out where else to put it in order to create some contrast. I knit the whole thing in Malabrigo lace weight in their Butter color, which I don't know that they even do anymore. Its actually nice stuff, I'd buy more, but I've got plenty of other lace weight to play with first.
Tomorrow I pack it up, along with some other goodies and it will wing its way to Las Vegas, where hopefully my best friend will enjoy it, 2 years late. Or is it 3?
And I'll try to remember to post some really cute pictures that I took of Sydney.

the mystery shawl is amazingly beautiful! I gasped when I read that you are giving it away. What a lucky friend!

Your mystery shawl is a work of art! Gorgeous! I have a bit of that Malabrigo lace weight myself - in the Paris Night colorway. I didn't know they weren't making it anymore. I'm glad I've got some.

WOAH! That's a lotta lace!!! No wonder you don't want to knit that again. I'd keep it under a glass dome, displayed on the mantle.
