Things are finally back to normal, and boy are my arms tired.

Everything is back to Sydney-speed around here (that means doing everything at full speed, with your nose to the floor just in case there is a crumb and then falling asleep sweetly on the floor) and life is finally getting back to what passes for normal here Chez PuppyMomma.

I picked Sydney up on Thursday evening and brought him home.  Which relieved my tearfulness level immensely.  But I really wasn't able to focus on knitting until about Saturday.  I looked at it a lot, but just couldn't wrap my head around it.

As a result Penelope and I got to know each other.

Verdict is:  I LIKE HER.  A lot.  And no, I don't find myself hunching over to spin at all.  She's spins smoothly, though not as smoothly as Alice, and she's not as quiet as Alice either.  But I'm REALLY glad I got her.  Funny, whenever I think of Alice, I think of that show, Alice, and I immediately think of Flo, and Flo is who I really pictured in my head when I thought of the name Alice.  I think she's the same person Sarah thought of when she suggested the name too.  Penelope's name just came to me out of thin air.  Whenever I would try to think up names for her, Penelope just kept on coming into my head.  The stuff on the bobbin is something that the gal from One Planet Yarn and Fiber sent me, I'm not sure what it is, though I'm pretty sure there's some silk in there.  The batt is almost finished, and I'm probably only going to get one bobbin full from it, but I don't feel like navajo plying.  So I'm going to have to figure something out, and soon.

Back to the dogs.

I was able to get some good pics of my dudes on Saturday.

Conan did have a bit of a 'Just Licked' look going on there.  His girlfriend, Molly, was licking his eyes earlier.

These were about as 'in action' shots as I was able to get of Sydney.  He's a little self-conscious of his front legs.  They shaved them in the hospital, and he has furry feet and toothpick legs.  Don't laugh.
